Aegerter ends with a strong fourth place in the FrenchGP

At the end of an incredibly hard-fought French Grand Prix, Dominique Aegerter secured an excellent fourth place at the Le Mans circuit. Now the Swiss rider of the Dynavolt Intact GP team is second in the overall standings with eight points gap.

The French Grand Prix at Le Mans was full of twists. The first was on Saturday, during the EPole, in which Dominique Aegerter, despite having set the best time, was relegated to sixth position due to the yellow flags present during his fastest lap.
This did not prevent Aegerter from starting immediately very strong and from leading the race already at the end of the first lap. Aegerter was one of the protagonists of the French race of the MotoE, fighting for the final victory with both Granado and Zaccone.
The fourth final place is below the expectations of the Swiss rider, who was aiming for the first win of the season in MotoE.
The next chance to get on the top step of the podium will be on the Barcelona track in three weeks.

“I was really strong up to the last lap and was able to prepare all the maneuvers well so that I was even able to attack the first position again on the penultimate lap. I didn't want to repeat the same mistake as in Jerez, where I didn't attack again. Unfortunately, Granado pushed me a bit wide on the last lap, which allowed Casadei to come past me too. We were all very close together and even though I tried to overtake him again, I didn't succeed. He was in a way too good flow. I'm not happy with fourth place, so we'll have to devise a different tactic for the future in order to do better on the last lap. We are still among the strongest in the field, which gives me peace of mind. With Barcelona coming up, we'll visit a new track for the MotoE class, but of course, I know the track well from my time in Moto2."
