In the French GP of MotoE at Le Mans, Jordi Torres takes the victory in Race 1. The Openbank Aspar team rider precedes Hector Garzò and Randy Krummenacher in the first race of the MotoE in the Ducati era.
Race 1 of the MotoE of the French GP – This weekend, on the iconic French circuit of Le Mans, it's time for the first round of the 2023 season of the MotoE, the first with World Championship status and with the new V21L electric Ducati.
The race was won by the two-time champion of MotoE, Jordi Torres, of the Openbank Aspar team. The Spanish rider preceded the IntactGP team duo: Hector Garzò and Randy Krummenacher.
Matteo Ferrari, who started from pole position, fought until mid-race with Garzò, before crashing with four laps to go.
Many crashes in the middle of the race due to front tire wear. Among the riders who suffered from the drop in performance were: Nicholas Spinelli while he was in fourth position, Miquel Pons, Mattia Casadei and Andrea Mantovani.
Long lap penalty for two riders: Alessandro Zaccone and Kevin Manfredi.
