FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports have decided to oust the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP team from the World Championship for the 2024 season. The decision applies to all categories in which the RNF team took part: MotoGP and MotoE.

The CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP team will not take part in the 2024 World Championship season in either MotoGP or MotoE. The news and rumours about CryptoDATA's business had already been circulating for some time (see misterhelmet.com where you can find many videos about it), but only now has the official announcement arrived, with the joint press release from FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports.
Here is the press release issued today:

“The MotoGP Selection Committee, comprising members of FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports, have decided not to select the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team for the 2024 season. Repeated infractions and breaches of the Participation Agreement affecting the public image of MotoGP have obliged this decision. The Selection Committee will be reviewing applications for a new Independent Team, using Aprilia machinery, to join the MotoGP class grid for 2024. More information on this matter will follow in due course."

There are two teams affected by the measure, the MotoGP team, which managed the two Aprilia motorbikes of Miquel Oliveira and Raul Fernandez, and the MotoE, with the two Ducati V21Ls of Andrea Mantovani and Mika Perez and the crew chief Ramon Forcada.
Now FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sport will select a new independent team which will be assigned the two Aprilia bikes on the MotoGP starting grid and the two Ducati V21Ls for the MotoE starting grid. On the rider's front, most likely nothing will change for the MotoGP team while there are more doubts about who will take part in MotoE.
Andrea Mantovani is coming off an excellent 2023 in which he won two races, at Mugello and in Barcelona, and achieved a second place, finishing eighth in the general classification. Mika Perez finished the championship in fifteenth place, with an eighth place as his best result in the race.
Rumors published by The Race they indicate the American Trackhouse Racing team, recent winner of the NASCAR championship, as a possible new team.
