“On Friday I was quite happy with qualifying, we did a good job: we improved in each session and after trying some changes in the two free practice sessions, we took the right direction in qualifying. I improved my laptime, we still lacked a little bit but we had a good pace. For the two races the goal was to be able to take away a few more tenths to be able to fight with Aegerter, who was the fastest on Friday.
On Saturday we worked a lot on the bike and on myself. We did a good job and the improvements had already been seen in qualifying. Then on the grid I told myself it was time to give my all, I fought until the end and we managed to take home the second position. Aegerter is very fast under braking, in this we have improved but we are still missing something. We were very fast on the straight: we worked a lot on this so I'm happy we saw the results.”

“At the end of Race 2 I was too happy, my eleventh podium, incredible! Winning at Mugello, at home, was fantastic. Saturday night I looked back at Race 1 and I saw that Aegerter was really strong under braking, we worked on it on Sunday morning and it worked. I got a good start, at the first corner I was already 3rd and then I fought to the end. With these two podiums here at Mugello we are now third in the championship and have closed the gap to the first. In Assen we will try to repeat the result.”

“On Friday I was quite satisfied with qualifying, even if we could have taken a further step forward. In the race we started from fourteenth position: I am entering the group a little at a time but the gap with the leaders is still wide.
We had a good race on Saturday, I'm happy. We took a big step forward, we managed to improve my best laptime on Friday in the race. It was nice to do the whole race with the group, fighting with Okubo and Fores: this gives me a lot of motivation to do even more.”
“I am not too satisfied with Race 2 because I was unable to lap with the same pace as on Saturday. I still struggle to get used to this format where on Saturday and Sunday we enter the track directly in the afternoon for the race, without having the chance to do a few test laps. Summing up the weekend we can still be satisfied: we made a significant step forward compared to the other rounds, we got to play with the second group. In Assen we will start from here."
