Starting at 10 am on Wednesday 19 October 2022, the ecobonus.mise.gov.it platform reopens for dealers to book incentives for the purchase of electric mopeds and motorcycles.
Starting at 10 am on Wednesday 19 October 2022, on the ecobonus.mise.gov.it platform, dealers will be able to apply for incentives for the purchase of electric mopeds and motorcycles as envisaged by the 20 million eco-bonus allocated by the Italian Government.
The new 2022 incentive funds for electric motorcycles and scooters will amount to 20 million euros and come from a reduction in those for plug-in car incentives. The maneuver was made official on 19 August with its publication in the Official Gazette, and by 10 am on Wednesday 19 October, this sum will be uploaded to the portal ecobonus.mise.gov.it and will be available to those who want to buy an electric two-wheeled vehicle.
For electric mopeds and motorcycles, the Government had already decided to allocate 15 million euros for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024 but the 2022 fund for the purchase of a battery-powered two-wheeler had already been exhausted and without the arrival of these additional funds, we should have waited until 2023.
The new 20 million eco-bonus
The new 2022 incentive for electric motorcycles and scooters is 30%, up to a maximum of 3.000 euros, for purchase without scrapping, while it is 40%, up to a maximum of 4.000 euros, for the purchase with scrapping of an old vehicle with homologation between Euro 0 and Euro 3. The eco-bonus will be calculated on the percentage of the purchase price of a new electric vehicle, belonging to the categories L1e, L2e, L3e, L4e, L5e, L6e, L7e.
Electric scooters today represent the ideal solution for urban mobility, thanks to prices that are in line with the equivalent endothermic motor scooters. They are also exempt from stamp duty for at least five years.
Several electric models are now available on the market with very different characteristics and prices, here are some suggestions.
