10 electric scooters to buy with the 2024 incentives for electric two-wheeled vehicles: the Piaggio 1 – While electric motorcycles still record very low sales numbers, scooters are spreading much more rapidly. Over 90% of battery-powered two-wheelers that are sold are scooters or mopeds. In particular, the latter represent 20% of all mopeds sold and 10 of the 30 best-selling models are electric.

10 electric scooters to buy with the 2024 / Piaggio 1 incentives
The Piaggio 1 represents the entry level for "green" urban mobility. It is powered by an electric motor integrated into the rear wheel that delivers 2,0 kW (2.2 kW peak). The Piaggio 1 reaches a speed of 45 km/h (the limit of the L1e category) and has a range between 39 and 55 km depending on the driving mode. The 1,4 kWh battery is installed under the saddle and can be easily removed for charging at home or in the office. The weight of the Piaggio 1 is 75 kg while the removable battery weighs 10 kg. A more powerful version of the Italian scooter is also available, called Piaggio 1 Active, characterized by a 2,0 kWh battery for a range that can reach 80 km with ECO mode. The 2,7 kW engine allows the Active version to reach 60 km/h.
The price of the Piaggio 1 is 2.899 euros (3.599 euros for the Active version) which is reduced by 30% with the 2024 incentives or by 40% in the event of scrapping.
